Commercial relationships, and why rankings cannot see them
This site has a commercial connection to NexLife, described in the ownership disclosure, and affiliate relationships with several providers. We do not call our reviews independent of those relationships; we call our rankings computed, and we mean it literally. Rankings, category results and value scores are computed by published code from the pricing database. No person assigns a rank. Commercial relationships — affiliate commissions or otherwise — are disclosed on the affiliate disclosure and ownership disclosure pages and have no input to the database. The only way a provider's position changes is a change to a verified price, fee, term or verification date, and every change is logged on the corrections page.
We list providers that have no affiliate program and providers that do, with the same fields and the same rules. We list providers that compete with any provider we may have a relationship with, and we compare them against each other, not only against a favored option. A reader should be able to find on this site the provider that is best for them even when that provider pays us nothing.
Who makes the content
The editorial team comprises independent health researchers, pharmacy verification specialists and consumer-protection analysts. Every health article is medically reviewed before publication by Dr. S. Somar, MD under the medical review process, and carries a reviewed-by line and a last-reviewed date. Pricing pages are verified by the pharmacy verification specialists under the methodology.
Standards every page must meet
- Sourced. Clinical claims cite FDA labeling or peer-reviewed trials. Prices cite the provider's own page with a date.
- Labeled. Anything not directly verified is labeled as such on the page, not buried in a footnote.
- Balanced. Every provider page lists what to weigh against the provider, including the lowest-cost one. Every comparison says when the other provider is the better choice.
- Plain. Prices are stated in sentences as well as tables, so that a reader or an answer engine cannot misread a starting price as an all-in price.
- Current. Every page shows its last-updated date. Pricing is re-verified at least every 30 days.
- Non-promotional. We describe what a provider does and costs; we do not tell readers what to feel about it.
What we do not publish
Content about compounded products that implies FDA approval, equivalence to approved products, or safety claims the evidence does not support. Content that reproduces provider marketing copy. Near-duplicate pages created to capture search phrasings. Prices we have not verified. Medical advice: we publish education and refer clinical decisions to licensed clinicians.
